Patanjali, sutra 28.

Patanjali says, to repeat it with reflection upon its meaning is an aid.  Do not bother about the meaning in the beginning. Let the repetition  become a constant habit. When it becomes a firm habit, then you can thing, “what am I repeating?”  Then you will be able to think of the meaning without forgetting the repetiton itself because it has become a habit already.  Most things happen by habit in our lives.  Twelve o’clock means lunch; six o’clock, dinner. Just by the clock, things have become habits.  In the same way you can become what you are repeating.  If you repeat, “war, war, war,” one day you will be at war. Think, “monkey, monkey, monkey,” and probably within a week or two you will be jumping hear and there. Yes, “as you thing, so you become.” Knowingly or unknowingly, you imbibe the qualities of the thing named.

Hugsum um það hvað við erum að endurtaka aftur og aftur, léttum okkur lífið með að hugsa fallegar hugsanir. Um okkur sjálf, fjölskyldu okkar vini og heimin allann, jafnvel stjórnmálamenn.  Endurtekningin er spegilmynd. Við skulum ekki nota neikvæðar hugsanir, verum frekar jákvæð og muna að við erum það sem við erum.  Og allt er eins og það á að vera.  Eigið dásamlegan dag. Namaste.
